Dutch ceramist Anton Reijnders will present his new work in a solo exhibition.
Bringing together seventy makers from across Canada, Can Craft? Craft Can! will present works in glass, ceramics, wood, metal and fibre that address three subthemes exploring ideas of Identity, Sustainability and Materiality.
Craft Ontario’s Nothing is Newer than Tradition will present the work of emerging Ontario makers that reflect a dedicated engagement with specialized skills and materials. The exhibition will explore how craft materials, tools and processes are creatively reiterated through the hands of a new generation of makers.
Six makers and six writers/scholars from a range of material disciplines will spend ten days discussing and making in a creative national incubator. Makers will provide innovative and exciting possibilities for moving the conversation outside academic discourse and encourage public engagement with issues of tradition and innovation, vernacular and global, hand-made and high-tech. Writers will engage in the discussion to explore new ideas and challenge current craft discourse.
Eleven sessions covering a variety of themes and approaches, will be presented by forty-four scholars and makers from around the world.

In 2017, Craft Ontario launched "CO Space", a multi-purpose venue dedicated to providing a space for our members and the public to learn, create, discover, and build community. We believe that a place to gather and learn is an important and valuable part of our offering.
Please note that as part of our 2018 financial restructuring, we are undergoing major changes in our 1106 Queen St. West location. As a result, we regret that we are unable to continue CO Space programming at this time. However, we plan to be able to post 2018 summer and fall availability, as well as 2019 availability, by April, 2018, and look forward to seeing your applications come through!
Our workshop program offers members vital professional development opportunities that seek to help you grow your entrepreneurial endeavours and succeed in the craft industry, locally, nationally, and abroad.
Coming soon: Check back for our list of 2018 creative and professional development programs!
In 2017, CO Space was available for members to book for their own events and exhibitions. The space was used for exhibiting work, arranging a pop-up store or trunk show, launching a new project, or simply need a space for a meeting.

As Craft Ontario is undergoing many physical changes to our 1106 Queen St. location, we are unable to offer Venue Rental at this time. We hope to offer this service again in the near future.
