Craft Awards recognize accomplished and dedicated practitioners in the field of craft and design. From makers that create innovative and exceptional work to curators, administrators, writers and volunteers who support the craft community, each recipient is recognized as an important contributor to contemporary craft practice.

We invite you to take a look through recipient profiles in the Craft Awards online gallery, and to mark your calendars for the annual Ceremony when winners are announced, and we celebrate the achievements of those deserving recognition for their ingenuity and expertise.

The program takes place on a yearly basis, and consists of two components: awards by application and awards by nomination. Once all application and nomination materials are recieved, a jury of seven established professionals working in the field of craft and design will review and select recipients, and notifications will be sent to all applicants by the end of August.

This year's Craft Awards Ceremony will take place at Craft Ontario, 1106 Queen St. W, Toronto, date TDB. During the Ceremony recipients receive their awards, and we wrap everything up with a terrific celebration. We look forward to seeing you there!

The Craft Awards program is able to take place on an annual basis through the valued support of many generous donors and sponsors. Formerly the Ontario Crafts Council, Craft Ontario is a not-for-profit service organization that works to have craft recognized as a valuable part of life. We promote and celebrate professional craft through providing member opportunities, and advocate for craft practice by educating and empowering diverse audiences.
