Craft Export Readiness Database is an exclusive online resource for Craft Ontario members. It’s full of information for developing your international career! Save yourself time and headaches as an artist and entrepreneur by doing research here.

Examples of what's in the database: 

  • Lists, such as "Don't Pack List" or "US Residencies List"
  • Descriptive Pdfs, such as "Brokers" or "Entry" process
  • Links, to relevant external websites
  • Videos from mentor artists who export 
  • The "I Want" section, which has common export scenarios for artists and craftspeople
  • A Forum, for asking questions and leveraging community experiences and knowledge

Marketing by Lindsey Fair
Learn: how to build a solid marketing foundation through People, Product, Price, Place and Promotion. Discover the best advertising channels for you through in-depth coverage of various advertising channels: traditional, experiential and events, public relations and digital. At the end of this course you will be able to draft your own versatile sticky-note marketing plan.

Exporting by Sara Washbush
Learn: troubleshooting, decision making and action steps for exporting art and craft. We cover entry options, how to get items back into Canada after they have left, how to work with brokers, how to define and map out your own export situation, potential export strategies for career growth and much more.

Online Sales by Arounna Khounnoraj  
Learn: how to assess various online sales platforms, how to get started and present yourself, and tips for driving traffic to your site. Four online sales platforms (Etsy, Shopify, Big Cartel and Squarespace) are discussed.
